Book Review: Forever Too Far by Abbi Glines
Rush promised her forever... but promises can be broken.
Torn between his love for his family and his love for Blaire, Rush has to find a way to save one without losing the other. In the end one has to be more important. Letting go isn’t easy.
Blaire believed in her fairytale... but no one can live in a fantasy.
Her love for Rush and desire to have a family keep her believing that they can find a way for this to work. Until she has to make the right decision for her and the baby. Even if it breaks her heart.
Can they find the forever that they both want or has it all just gone... too far?
Fallen Too Far, the first book in the series, totally took off with a lot of fans that lead to book number two, Never Too Far. Fallen Too Far had all the qualities romance book readers like- two in love people and the drama...sappy and over the top drama. In all fairness, Fallen Too Far had a main center plot, and the ending just extended the inevitable happy endings for the couple in the story. Hence, Never Too Far. But even that second book was not enough to cover all the damaged goods. Forever is just needed somehow. I totally get it why Forever Too Far must exist (because I was one of those who thought Never Too Far ended too fast and just not there). And honestly speaking, Forever Too Far was a lot of too much. I felt like the cup of happiness and endless cycle of same problems and insecurities each character has (Rush and Blaire) was overflowing to the point that I can barely swallow them up and take them in. But unlike the previous novels, they pretty much matured (?) here and dealt with their problems faster and more convenient than they did in Fallen Too Far. Which was I’m telling you a huge relief. They learned something at least. The only concern (tiny) I have is that about just the beginning of the novel (3rd book), everything was already settled in...or maybe halfway. or quarterway. The point is, the book is already finished and had its happy ending even before it was even there. And so, the other pages? Just a series of events about other people having their happy endings too...and just practically the everyday lives of the main couple in the story. But what made this the perfect closure for me was that “seeing them settled” is the key on that closure. As I’m sure fellow readers of the series also felt. And now, another potential couple just made the list of another possible spin-off novel.
Writing wise, Abbi Glines write easy to read, romantic, cheesy and very steamy novels, that other particular readers might get uncomfortable with too. But basically, the characters she writes about just gets into you no matter how cheesy and how they narrate their stories. Its her magic. lol. I’m just happy the Rush and Blaire saga has finally ended..and I’m ready to move on if you are.
Just a note! I totally gushed at the wedding scenes and pre-wedding scenes in the book. Abbi Glines sure knows how to write them! Rush giving those sweet somethings and the song! my gosh the song! I totally downloaded it and it’s just the perfect song for them. BIG SIGH. SWEET!
Abbi Glines was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in the small town of Sumiton, Alabama where she left the summer she turned eighteen. She didn’t get far… she chased her high school sweetheart down to the coast and she’s been there ever since.check out her website
Abbi now lives in the quaint southern town of Fairhope, Alabama with her three children and husband Keith (the high school sweetheart she chased after). Her life is never dull and Keith always makes sure there is another “experience” for them to explore.
Books published by Abbi include The Vincent Boys and the USA TODAY bestseller The Vincent Brothers, Breathe, Because of Low, the USA TODAY bestsellers While It Lasts and Just For Now, The Existence Trilogy that includes the USA Today Bestseller Ceaseless, andThe New York Times bestseller and Wall Street Journal bestseller Fallen Too Far. Currently she is working on Never Too Far, the sequel to Fallen too Far.
When Abbi isn’t locked away in her office typing away she is hauling her kids to and from their many social activities. You could say her second job is the Glines Kids personal chauffeur. It’s a rather illustrious job.

[Promo] Sweet Salt Air by Barbara Delinsky
Anyway, you can check out the blurb below, plus an excerpt! enjoy!
Charlotte and Nicole were once the best of friends, spending summers together in Nicole's coastal island house off of Maine. But many years, and many secrets, have kept the women apart. A successful travel writer, single Charlotte lives on the road, while Nicole, a food blogger, keeps house in Philadelphia with her surgeon-husband, Julian. When Nicole is commissioned to write a book about island food, she invites her old friend Charlotte back to Quinnipeague, for a final summer, to help. Outgoing and passionate, Charlotte has a gift for talking to people and making friends, and Nicole could use her expertise for interviews with locals. Missing a genuine connection, Charlotte agrees.
But what both women don't know is that they are each holding something back that may change their lives forever. For Nicole, what comes to light could destroy her marriage, but it could also save her husband. For Charlotte, the truth could cost her Nicole’s friendship, but could also free her to love again. And her chance may lie with a reclusive local man, with a heart to soothe and troubles of his own.
Bestselling author and master storyteller Barbara Delinsky invites you come away to Quinnipeague…
QUINNIPEAGUE LAY ELEVEN MILES FROM the mainland. With a year-round population of nearly three hundred, it was serviced by a daily mail boat that carried groceries and a handful of passengers, but no cars. Since Charlotte had one of those for the first time in her life, she proudly booked the ferry, boarding in Rockland on a Tuesday, which was one of only three days each week when its captain cruised pastVinalhaven to islands like Quinnipeague. Nicole had offered airfare to speed up the trip, but Charlotte flew everywhere else in life. This summer was to be different.
The car was an old Jeep Wrangler, bought from a friend of a friend for a fraction of its original cost. Giddy with excitement, she stashed the soft top in back, and, as the warm June air flowed freely through windows and roof, drove up from New York herself. She welcomed the time it would take. After a frantic two months of work to free herself up, she wanted to slow down, decompress, and maybe, just maybe figure out why she had agreed to a last summer onQuinnipeague. She had sworn she wouldn’t return, had sworn off painful memories. But there were good memories as well, all of which had flooded back as she read Nicole’s e-mail in Ireland that day. She replied instantly, promising to phone as soon as she returned to New York. And she had. Literally. Right there in baggage claim while waiting for her duffel to come through.
Of course, she would come, she had told Nicole, only afterward doing the reasoning. For starters, there was Bob. She hadn’t gone to his funeral because she hadn’t had the courage to face even a dead Bob after letting him down—letting them all down—so badly. So she owed Nicole for the funeral, and owed her for the betrayal.
